Astro Andy: Orbit Hop ("the game") is a one-tap arcade game for iPhone. This page explains what data the game uses and who handles it. The short version: there are no accounts, we run no servers, and we never receive your personal information. The only outside service that collects data is Google AdMob, and only if you choose to watch an optional rewarded ad.
What stays on your device
Your scores, Stardust, unlocked pilots and trails, settings and daily streak are stored on your iPhone. They are never sent to us.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, the game copies the same progress to your own iCloud account (iCloud key-value storage) so it follows you to your other devices. This data lives in your Apple account; we cannot see or access it. You can turn this off in the iOS Settings app under your name > iCloud.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, the game sends your scores and achievements to Apple's Game Center so they appear on the leaderboard and in your profile. Apple handles this under its privacy policy; we never see or store your Game Center ID.
Ads (Google AdMob)
- The game shows only rewarded ads that you choose to watch ("Double it" after a run). There are no banner ads and no forced ads.
- Ads are provided by Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads and we do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt or your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).
- To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may process information such as your device's IP address (used for approximate location), device and app information, and how you interact with the ad. This data is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy andhow Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We do not receive it in a form that identifies you.
- The Google Mobile Ads SDK may also collect crash and performance diagnostics about the ad code.
Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Where the law requires it, the game shows Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) the first time an ad is about to be offered, never at launch. If consent is not given, no ads are requested. Supporter Pack owners never see ads.
In-app purchases
Purchases (such as the Supporter Pack) are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details, name or email. The game checks your purchases on your device with Apple's StoreKit so it can unlock what you bought and restore it on your other devices.
What we do not do
- No accounts, sign-in, email or contacts.
- No analytics or tracking tools of our own, and no servers of our own.
- No precise location, camera, microphone, photos or health data.
- We do not sell your data.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages and is not directed specifically at children. Ads are non-personalized. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Your choices
- Simply don't tap "Double it": no ad is loaded or shown unless an offer is made, and none plays unless you tap it.
- Change your ad consent choice from "Privacy choices" in the game's Settings (shown where the law requires consent).
- Delete the app to remove all data stored on the device; remove the iCloud copy from iOS Settings > your name > iCloud > Manage Storage.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
